Microwave-safe cup
Paper towel
- 1 rooibos chai tea bag
- ½ cup boiling water
- ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- A pinch of ground ginger
Place the rooibos chai tea bag in a mug. Add ½ cup boiling water and steep for 5 minutes.
While the tea steeps, combine the almond milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, and ginger in a separate microwave-safe cup.
Cover loosely with a paper towel to prevent splatters. Microwave for 1 to 1½ minutes, depending on your microwave, until warm.
Remove the tea bag. Pour the warm almond milk mixture into the tea and stir. Enjoy!
Ginger: I used only a sprinkling. It adds warmth without overpowering the cinnamon.
Tea: I used Numi Organic Rooibos Chai Tea.
No microwave? Warm the almond milk mixture in a small saucepan over low heat until steaming.
MS Fatigue-Friendly Tip: Prepare the almond milk mixture while your tea steeps. There's no need to stand at the stove, and cleanup is minimal!
